About The Foundation

The OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group Foundation was formed in 1992 for the purpose of raising money to provide new services and needed equipment for OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group patients. To date nearly $9.1 million has been raised.

The largest donation to the Foundation to date is a $5 million gift given in 2006 to be utilized for the renovation of the Emergency/Walk-in Clinic. When the current OSF Emergency Department was built in 1986, approximately 9,000 patients per year were seen. Today, we see more than 17,000 patients per year in the Emergency Department, along with an additional 111,000 patients per year in the Walk-in Clinic, which opened in 1995
