Fundraising Events

The OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group Foundation hosts three major fundraisers each year: a golf scramble, a gourmet dinner and a hospice mail campaign.

Proceeds from the golf outing and dinner are used to purchase needed equipment and support new programs and services for OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group patients. The hospice mail campaign benefits OSF Hospice patients.

The Upper Peninsula's only Catholic hospital, OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group, provides over $7 million in charity care annually to patients who do not have the means to pay for some or all of the care they receive.

The OSF St. Francis Foundation was formed in 1992 for the purpose of raising money to provide new services and needed equipment for OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group patients. To date nearly $11 million has been raised.

"Heart of Gold" Gourmet Dinner

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the 2011 "Heart of Gold" dinner to benefit the OSF St. Francis Foundation. This year's event will take place Thursday, Oct. 20th.

Each year, chefs from across the Upper Peninsula – all members of the Upper Peninsula Chapter of the American Culinary Federation – prepare a seven-course dinner with specialty wines to compliment each course.

The 2010 event featured charcoal grilled shrimp and sea scallops, smoked portabella mushroom soup, peanut crusted black earth pork belly with pumpernickel bread pudding, and pumpkin cheesecake with pomegranate coulis.

The annual event benefits OSF St. Francis Foundation and raises more than $30,000. Funds are used to purchase new equipment and provide needed services for OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group patients.

"Going for the Green" Golf Outing

The 18th annual OSF St. Francis "Going for the Green" golf outing will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Sweetgrass Golf Course. The 2011 event was a sell-out for the second year in a row and raised over $35,000.

All monies raised through the Foundation are used to purchase needed equipment and provide new services to benefit OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group patients.

Mail Campaign

The annual OSF Hospice "Evergreen" mail campaign is held each spring, with monies benefiting OSF hospice patients.

Employee Giving

OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group employees also give generously to the OSF Foundation, helping to purchase needed equipment and support new services and programs. An annual employee campaign is organized and promoted by the Foundation Director and a committee of volunteer employees.
