Custom Foot Orthotics

OSF Rehabilitation Services provides custom foot semi rigid orthotics that help correct any foot/ankle malignments. Custom orthotics, or a molding of one's foot in subtalar neutral, allows a more natural movement to occur at the foot/ankle during standing, walking and running. In turn, one may get relief of pain and edema. Common diagnosis where orthotics are indicated: plantar fascitis, heel spur, tarsal tunnel, metatarsalgia and ankle sprains. Proper foot alignment is also important in aligning the patella (kneecap), hips and back during functional activities and exercise such as walking or jogging.
