Hand Therapy

The Hand and Upper Extremity program utilizes an Occupational Therapist that specializes in rehabilitation of patients with injuries or pathologies of the hand, elbow and shoulder. The OT has many treatment options and strategies that may include splinting, adaptive equipment, exercise, manual techniques and modalities to improve functional abilities and decrease pain. The OT performs a comprehensive evaluation and designs a customized treatment plan that assists in empowering the patient to enjoy effective rehabilitation to maximize their functional abilities. Our occupational therapist works "hand in hand" with physicians to promote well-being and optimal recovery for individuals with injuries of the hand and upper extremity.
