Patient
Satisfaction and Service Quality
OSF
St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group welcomes feedback from our patients and
their loved ones. Patients have the opportunity to complete patient
satisfaction surveys developed by Press Ganey Associates, Inc., the
healthcare industry’s leading independent vendor of satisfaction
measurement services. The firm annually processes nearly 8 million
completed surveys in all 50 states and serves 40 percent of all
hospitals with more than 100 beds.
Hospital and
emergency room patients are sent a Press Ganey satisfaction survey after
discharge. Results are tabulated and tracked monthly, quarterly and
annually for each department and for the hospital as a whole. In
addition to our own scores, our results are compared to national
averages so we know how OSF St. Francis compares to medical centers
throughout the country.
The percentage of
patients who completed a survey between January 1, 2008 and March 31,
2008 rated OSF St. Francis between either "very good" or "good"
regarding their experience in the:
Inpatient Services 91%
Emergency Services 88%
Our goal is to
improve our service everyday and to uphold the Mission of The Sisters of
the Third Order of St. Francis "to serve persons with the greatest care
and love".
