Hospitalist Services

Often called an "inpatient physician," a hospitalist focuses exclusively on the care of hospitalized patients. Since they are based solely within the hospital, our physicians have an extensive knowledge of all hospital departments and physicians. They are also quite knowledgeable in a variety of treatments and procedures. This allows them to walk you through your treatment step-by-step so you fully understand the care process as it happens. They are also available to answer any questions you might have about your treatment.

The care that a hospitalist provides will be seamless with your continuity of care. Your primary care physician will "hand off" your care to the hospitalist and, upon discharge, the hospitalist will provide your physician with all of the updates and medical records from your inpatient stay. If you do not have a primary care physician, our staff will assist in arranging follow up care with you.
